Drama and Dance
I think that out of the Art, Drama, Dance, and Music, drama has always been my favorite to participate in. Its something I feel that I'm ok in and ya, it is fun. Mostly though I like it in small groups as the larger ones cause me to be much more intimidated and I don't really participate as much. I also really enjoy the process of creating things like short skits and whatnot. Drama is where the funs at. Haha, dance on the other hand is where the scare is at. At least thats what I feel. For those who are good at dance, all I can say is ,"wow." It's not that I don't like it.... I just can't do it, and ya, it scares me. As far as watching it though I am starting to find it interesting. I even watched most of an episode the other day.... while doing homework of course. :P But ya, I kinda got into it.

This was very unplanned when I chose to do that frosted windows art lesson. But w
hen I was looking through my closet I found this beauty. Its a window looking out at the snow, and I figure its from around grade 4 or 5 as well. Only difference is it is Christmas instead of Halloween and there is no frosted window. But it is also done in pastel with the frame. I wonder if I followed the instructions as well as my class. Haha, I bet it was supposed to be frosted but through my own judgement decided that it was not necessary.
Sorry its sideways, I still havnt figured out how to flip it.
Art Show
I was also so excited to see how well the art show went. Considering how many things the class had to get done, and how we had almost no time to complete it we have to be happy. It went so well and everyone worked very hard. The art, the food, the handouts, the banner, the flowers, and everything else was excellent.
However, despite how well everything flowed my favorite part was easily seeing my students come in with their family to see the art. That part honestly rocked. Especially since the two that came were the two that I least expected to see. They were so proud of their art (but played the cool grade 5 card at the same time). I could tell that their parents were also very excited to be able to come and see their child's work displayed at the university too. I definitly got this feeling from the brief chats I had with them. Haha, I was even asked to sign one students flyer which was cool.
Overal, we all did awesome. Good job Ey06!
Portrait
Wow, Tha
t last post didn't really post that well so here is hopeing I can improve. This is a black and white charcoal picture of my sister and I. That actually looks a fair amount like me when I was 11 or so years old.
Yes I look nerdy... and yes that is a hockey shirt I'm wearing (Felix Potvin from the Toronto Maple Leafs). I guess I havnt really changed much.
Anyway, the picture is from a (sidewalk artist?) down in Vancouver somewhere at one of the parks. They actually zoomed through it really fast.
Here we go
So I was looking through a new art book I found and some of the stuff was pretty cool. Adam's artistic kindergarden art. So you cannot be expecting too much from it. I did think it was pretty artistic though. You can see the future Picasso in the works. Only problem was that much of my old art was pencil or faded so I only am posting some of the clearer work. Enjoy!

I guess it was just fun looking back at what is important art to us as children as I still remember drawing this pictures so very carefully.

First post
I hope this works. I am a little... a lot late on this and have to get a move on. So I did my first art lesson on friday, and well it did not go as smoothly as I had intended. It also took a little longer than it should have. But the end product was good. I think the problem was there were too many things going on at once and everyone was definitly at different stages in the project. They were working with glue, pastels, paintbrushes, cutting, and this thin paper stuff. I think it may of been a little too much for grade 4 and 5 maybe. While I limited the amount of instruction I gave, students were still all over the place. Trying to get ahead led some of them into heading in the worong direction which also had to be fixed. Overal it was fun though, I guess. haha
