Screaming Eagles

This is a shoutout to the Screaming Eagles! Best ADDM group ever! So Andrew, Dena, Emily, Erin and Jodi better post on this. Ok, I thought since this was our Art blog I should include something about our ADDM groups. I made a screaming eagle picture using mainly pastels, but I tried to use a little felt in there too. It kind of looks pretty good together. I also should add that I am horrible at using pastels and got it everywhere. You can see from the photo that I smeared much of the black into places that black should not be. I guess the point of this was trying a media that I do not usually use. I am typically all about the pencil and pencil crayons.

Fantastic Logo Adam! It looks really great. You have such a talent for art...and don't worry about the risk taking with different media, it is all about the learning experience. Your students will be lucky to have such a great artistic teacher. GO EAGLES!

They actually sell a long stick with a cloth ball on the end to you can have the stick above the page and when you draw you rest your hand on the stick to keep your hand out of the pastels.

The bestest part of pastels is that they ARE messy! Art is messy and that is why it is fun!

Who ever told you that art must be neat? That is a teacher's idea, not an artists. Just ask Vincent Van Gogh or especially Jackson Pollock!Amber knows the truth! And I didn't know about that too, Nathan. I think I will give myself a shopping spree at the art supply shop when I get all your stuff marked.
